Miley Cyrus ::Talks About "Disney Star" Image

Miley Cyrus, most famous for her title role in the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," has once again addressed critics of her off-screen behavior, adding that she looks up to "Bad Reputation" punk rocker Joan Jett.Miley Cyrus, 18 and known for pop songs such as "Can't Be Tamed," made her comments about Jett, 52, in an interview published in the September 2011 issue of V magazine.
"People see me as this perfect Disney star, and the moment I put out a record that says 'I'm not 11 years old anymore,' people look down on me," Cyrus told Jett, according to People magazine. "That's why I have always looked up [to] you. When you came out, people were shocked that there was a chick that wanted to rock as hard as the guys."
"I love that you never apologized for who you were," Cyrus added. "It's something I had to learn. I'm sick of feeling as if I owe someone an apology for being who I am."
Jett was most popular in the 1980s and spurred hits such as "I Love Rock n' Roll" and "Bad Reputation," the theme song of the short-lived comedy series "Freaks and Geeks." Jett was portrayed by "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart in the 2010 film "The Runaways," which was based on the rocker's former all-girl band.
People quoted Jett as telling Cyrus in the V interview: "I was thinking to myself ... how difficult it must be to lead your life as a teenager with the paparazzi and the amount of press you're surrounded by. "I thought to myself, 'Wow that was kind of a blessing that we didn't have that stuff when I was growing up in The Runaways.'"
Cyrus began her acting career when she was 8 and rose to fame with her role on "Hannah Montana," which ended earlier this year after four seasons.
Cyrus said last year she had outgrown "Hannah Montana" and began raising eyebrows when she showcased a more mature image in performances and music videos.
Cyrus has debuted several tattoos and in July, showed off new ink - an equal sign on her ring finger, which may symbolize her support of marriage equality. The singer has even found a fan in 45-year-old troubled actor Charlie Sheen, who was famously fired from the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" earlier this year.
One of Cyrus' most criticized incidents came in December 2010, when a TMZ video showed her smoking the hallucinogenic herb salvia out of a bong and swearing and laughing. Salvia is legal in California.
Cyrus addressed the clip months later, telling Marie Claire magazine: "I'm not perfect. I made a mistake. I'm disappointed in myself for disappointing my fans. So for me it was a bad decision, because of my fans and because of what I stand for."
Kelly Osbourne, rocker Ozzy Osbourne's daughter who stars with Cyrus in the upcoming film "So Undercover," defended the singer and actress after the video was published.
During the past year, Cyrus has also had to deal with her parents' near-divorce. Her father and "Hannah Montana" co-star, Billy Ray, and mother Tish announced their plans to end their 17-year marriage in October 2010. In February of this year, Cyrus' father told GQ magazine that "Hannah Montana" "destroyed" his family.
He later called off his divorce and addressed his remarks in an interview on the ABC show "The View" in March, saying: "I don't think Hannah Montana ruined my family. "Now fame, fame is a different animal. You've got to be careful with that thing."

Jennifer Lopez :: not to focus on being a role model

Actress n Singer Jennifer Lopez last week announced her split from husband of seven years Marc Anthony, is widely admired for juggling a successful career with being mom to three-year-old twins Max and Emme.
Jennifer doesn’t worry about her role model status though, as she isn’t interested in putting extra pressure on herself.
“A long time ago, I realised I would never put responsibility on my shoulders. I think that’s too heavy to think, oh my God, everybody is watching what I’m doing,” she told the British edition of OK! magazine.
Jennifer knows the main people she needs to worry about are herself and her family. The celebrity remarked that stars in the past who tried to live up to society’s expectations often faltered.
“It’s just about making myself proud first, doing things that I know are right, living the best way that I can. If other people are inspired by that then I always saw that as icing on the cake. It’s been very destructive for some people to put that amount of pressure on themselves,” she added.

Mila Kunis :: Invite you to "the Marine Corps Ball"

Mila Kunis has been to plenty of award shows in the "Friends with Benefits" star's life, but she's just received an invite to an entirely different type of outing equally as special - a Marine Corps ball.

Sergeant Scott Moore, of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines in Musa Qala, Afghanistan, posted a clip on YouTube on Thursday, showing the military man asking Mila to be his date for his November event.
Hey Mila, this is Sgt. Moore, but you can call me Scott," the Marine said on the clip, after lowering his sunglasses to show the camera his eyes.

"I just want to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps Ball on November 18 in Greenville, N.C., with yours truly," he continued as he walked in the desert.

The soldier asked for help from the public in a comment he posted beneath the clip.

"[H]elp me make it happen!" he wrote.

Mila's new film, "Friends With Benefits," co-starring Justin Timberlake and Emma Stone, is due out on June 22.

Heidi Montag ::New Reality Show 'Famous Food'

Heidi Montag became one of the biggest stars in "The Hills"-verse as Lauren Conrad's sometime bestie, sometime nemesis. From episode one of the MTV reality show, Heidi's bad-girl ways ruled, making her a star and tabloid fixture.
Montag has also tried her hand at various other occupations, including singer and fashion designer. She even starred with hubby Spencer Pratt on "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!," doing her best to survive the wilderness, all with the cameras rolling, of course.

On Sunday, Heidi launches the latest phase of her ever-evolving career. On the new VH1 reality show "Famous Food," she is back on reality TV, adding a new job to her résumé: restaurateur. Montag insists she has what it takes to meet the challenge of launching a restaurant in Los Angeles' already bustling food scene.

"I grew up in the restaurant industry; my parents had a restaurant since I was 2 years old," she told MTV News. "There was nothing easy about 'Famous Food.' Really it was very difficult."

Montag isn't the only big personality on the show. It also features famed call girl Ashley Dupre, Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul and Juicy J, "Bachelor" star Jake Pavelka, "Sopranos" star Vincent Pastore and feisty "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Danielle Staub.

"We have a certain amount of time until we have to open the actual restaurant, and you're individually competing, but you also have to work collectively together as a group," she said. "So it's really hard whenever everyone thinks their opinion is right and they want to do it their way, but you have to agree at the end of the day. So it was a really competitive, cutthroat show."

If you assume that Montag is going to come off just like she did on "The Hills," think again. It seems that she has moved away from her drama-queen days. "I really want to stay away from all of the drama," she said. "And I just try to be like, 'OK, let's open a restaurant.' "

Natalie Portman :: Birth to her son

Actress Natalie Portman gave birth to a baby boy, a source confirms to Us Weekly. It's the first child for the actress, 30, and fiance Benjamin Millepied.

Portman and French-born ballet star Millepied, 33, met and fell in love on the set of Black Swan, in which he served as choreographer and co-star.

"It was seductive to watch them," a set source told Us of the stunning pair. "There was no way the attraction could be missed. I don't think he could help himself -- she's dazzling!"

the surprise of fans everywhere, Portman announced her pregnancy and engagement in late December of last year -- and showed off her engagement ring and growing baby bump throughout the 2011 awards show season.

And, as Oscar buzz heated up over her intense performance as tormented, obsessed ballerina Nina in Black Swan, the often-private star (whose ex beaus include folk singer Devendra Banhart, SNL's Andy Samberg and Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal) opened up about her impending motherhood -- and her hubby-to-be.
Best Actress in a Drama award at the Jan. 16 Golden Globes, she joked that Millepied played a dancer who "wouldn't sleep" with her Black Swan character. "It's not true!" she said, laughing. "He totally wants to sleep with me!"

Accepting her Best Actress trophy at the Academy Awards February 27, Portman wept tears of joy as she thanked "my beautiful love." who helped escort her to the podium. "[He] has now given me my most important role of my life," she said.
After the April premiere of Portman's smash Thor (she also scored a hit with January's comedy No Strings Attached) the Harvard grad and Millepied laid low -- with her faithful pooch, Whiz! -- in NYC as she waited out her third trimester.

"One of the most exciting things about being pregnant is that I'm accepting the complete unknown. It's a complete mystery and miracle," Portman (who made her film debut at age 11 in The Professional) told reporters in February. "It's really just accepting that I have no idea, which is what all of us live every day."

Salma Hayek :: Same baby daddy

supermodel Linda Evangelista had a baby boy named Augustin James Evangelista. In September 2007, Salma Hayek had a baby girl named Valentina Paloma Pinault. For years, it was rumored that Hayek’s husband, French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, was the father of both children, even though all parties involved have long denied it. But Friday, the truth is finally out there. According to the New York Post, Evangelista appeared in a New York court last week to hash out some details of a paternity agreement with Pinault. That, plus some legal documents uncovered at the court, apparently prove that Pinault is lil’ Augustin’s daddy — meaning, yes, Pinault fathered children with Evangelista and Hayek less than a year apart.
